Guerlain Rouge "G" Lipstick

Yes, Guerlain.

Expensive, French, persnickety Guerlain.
But, they have a reason to hoist those noses into the air.

Rouge G.
Only available at Neiman Marcus, but of course.

(Wait.  Passing the Grey Poupon.)

Ok, back to the review.

It's smooth, it stays on forever, the colors are sassy and classy and it comes in a killer package.

It looks like a silver bullet, and when you pull out the lipstick, an awesome mirror pops out.
Smooth and sleek.
At first I thought it was a sex toy...so make sure people see it's a lipstick if you whip it out in public.
On the other hand, perhaps it has other uses, no?

Write me and tell me about the other uses.  I have another site for that;-)

Anyways.  Fabulous.  Luxurious.  There for you when you want to treat yourself and feel like a va-va-voooman.

Egyptian Magic Cream

Apparently it was developed in the time of Cleopatra.  A secret formula.
I can hear you snickering...

It's called Egyptian Magic Cream.

I know, I know.  Who uses the word 'magic' in a legitimate product?

Well, these people do.

It's a cream made out of a bunch of things (egyptianmagic.com), but it basically can heal the roughest, driest, cracked skin - anywhere on your body.  From lips to legs.  It also can be used on your hair to make it softer.

I've got some serious cracked heels, as if I've walked barefoot for my entire life, and I just put a little bit on and 'poof' it's gone.

If you've got a skin crackage issue, this is the baby for you.
Magic, baby.

Living Proof Frizz Fighter

I have to say, I'm trusting Allure mag more and more these days with their product reviews.  They've always been good, but it's to the point where I go there before I buy something.

Anyhoo, today's product is "Living Proof".

My first thought was, yet another 'frizz fighter' for those of us who've got a lot o' hair and don't like looking like you have pubic hair on your hair.  Enough said.

I began the dance of 'should I buy this?' slowly.  I've been burned many a time with products who claim to make the nasty frizz say bye-bye forever.  The name, "Living Proof" had some balls to it.  If you're going to go that far with a product name, you better be able to back it up.  Plus, some MIT (or some such) scientists came up with it and that seemed like a new twist or 'credibility point' as they say in marketing materials. Ha.

Still, I was skeptical.  I didn't want to fork out another $20+ and find out  that it was another thing clogging my bathroom drawer, or potentially, the sink, if it was thick and goopy.

But, Sephora had a sample.  No risk.

I took a shower and 'used it as directed'.  Holy cow.  It worked.  You have to use a lot, while your hair is wet, and make sure that it is really spread throughout. You can't put in too much...it doesn't make your hair feel screwy later if there is too much in.

Let's talk about my hair really quick, because everyone's hair is not the same:

1) Super thick, relatively coarse, color treated, can go curly (big curls) or straight.  Hair prefers to be curly, but of course.  My hair is medium length.

I blew out my hair after, and poof.  No frizzies.

But alas, there is no true nirvana...so here are my minor beefs:

1) Price.  When is this not a beef?
2) The different versions for wave, don't work as effectively as I would have liked.
3) You need to put in a lot, so obviously, you go through it relatively quickly.

But, it really makes a dent in that frizz.  And summer is just around the corner.
Buy the 4 oz vs. the smaller one.

Feel free to ping me if you have any questions.  I didn't want to believe that it worked either.
